About this pièce
One of the propelling ideas of this project is the dichotomy of very different states of energy: in the past, energies of violence; in the present energies of beauty and peace. This piece, fourth in the series exploring / inspired by the Jardin du Luxembourg, explores the idea of energies that are hidden versus energies that are revealed. It is easy, today, to take the all of the beautiful gardens in Paris for granted, and to assume that they have always been just places of beauty, but such is not the case. And even in the present, there may be elements of intrigue and mystery; for example, the Nazi bunkers that still exist under the garden…
